Arts Activities at the Parnell Community Centre

Each year Parnell Trust engages in a number of exciting community arts activities.

Forthcoming activities are:

Community Engagement in the Arts - Saturday, 18 October 2008

A family-focused event including arts activities, demonstrations and exhibitions, to be held during the Parnell Farmers' Market, Jubilee Building car park, 545 Parnell Road, Parnell. Saturday 18 October 2008 8am - 12 noon.

Children's Art Exhibition "Our Beautiful World". An exhibition of artworks from the Trust's children's programmes in Epsom, Newmarket and Parnell.

8.00 to 12noon

Trash to Fashion 2008: meet Gabriella Chan and Imogen Adams-Watt, the winners from the secondary schools gategory 'Wind, Sand and Stars'. Their winning entry 'Last Chance' will be on display.

8.00 to 12noon

Creative Creatures; Joan Thorne, a local artist will craft fun creatures from fresh market produce. You.ll see fruit and vegetables in a whole new light!

9.30 to 11.30am

Soft Stone Sculpture demonstration by Gillian Elmslie who will be running a workshop on Saturday 25 October at the Parnell Community Centre.

10.00 to 12noon

Artistry with Flowers; dispaly and demonstration of Christmas floral decorations by Tomoko Hirano who teaches floral art. at Parnell Community Centre.

10.00 to 12noon

Parnell Festival of Roses - Saturday, 8 November 2008

Visit the Parnell Farmers' Market 8am -12noon before going to the shops and on to the Parnell Rose Garden.
