Early Childhood Education
Parnell Trust is a well-established provider of early childhood care and education in central Auckland. We operate two centres in the beautiful tree-lined residential streets of Parnell, where we provide safe, nurturing and challenging environments, supported by responsive teachers. Our spacious environments and low-traffic locations mean our centres care for your child's health as well as their education.
Our latest ERO Report (for Parnell Early Childhood Centre), conducted in November 2011 had this to say: "Children develop friendships with each other and are capable communicators. They settle quickly on arrival at the centre and readily engage in cooperative play. Teaching staff know children and their families well and respond to children’s interests. They make links with children’s home lives to foster their well-being and sense of belonging". We take great pride in this - it's a recognition of everything we strive for when caring for your child.
Because our centres are conveniently located close to the central city, they are ideal for families living locally as well as those commuting to the city from suburbs such as Newmarket, Remuera, Epsom, Orakei, Mission Bay, Kohimarama, St Heliers, Glendowie, Meadowbank and St Johns, while many of our families in Gladstone Park are also from suburbs west of the CBD such as Ponsonby, Grey Lynn and Western Springs.

Merging of Glanville Terrace centres
As of 1 October 2011, Parnell Early Childhood Centre and Parnell Infant and Toddler Centre became one centre with one licence. This has been possible due to a change in legislation which now permits multiple services on a single site (as was the case with PECC and PIAT) to apply to operate under a single licence. The centre will be known as Parnell Early Childhood Centre.
The quality of the service provided by the centres will remain unaffected, and any initial changes will largely be limited to centre administration. The combined Parnell Early Childhood Centre will continue to cater for children aged three months to five years, with dedicated spaces for each developmental stage led by high quality teaching teams.
Ongoing, the merge presents an opportunity to consider how to best use the combined resources of the two centres to create an even more chid-focussed environment. This may include some physical reorganisation to foster the continued development of a strong and cohesive centre community.
