Heritage Fruit and Vegetable Talk

18 September (Saturday) 10am-11am Jubilee Hall $5 Rebekah from The People’s Orchard, is a gardening guerilla – gardening against the odds – planting fruit trees on spare public land. To date they have planted 19 trees in Te Atatu for community foraging. To pay for the trees, Rebekah and fellow guerrilla, Pip Steel, make and sell jam from foraged fruit. To hear about fruit trees suited to Auckland’s climate, heritage types to choose, The People’s Orchard, and to find out where the foraging trees and plants around Auckland are, come to this one hour talk.
Bookings essential: community@parnell.org.nz

Rebekah and Pip will also demonstrate jam making in the hall kitchen from 11am - 12.30pm same day. Let us know if you are interested in attending this FREE workshop. Email farmersmarket@parnell.org.nz to book your space.
