1st November: Parnell Farmers' Market Celebrates First Birthday

Where: Parnell Farmers' Market, Jubilee Building, 545 Parnell Road, Parnell
When: November 1, 2008 from 8am to 12 noon

What: Parnell Trust started the Parnell Farmer's a year ago. Since then the market has grown to attract a great range of authentic producers and a loyal following of market goers. Join us for our birthday celebrations. There will be activities for the children, competitions for the grown ups, cooking classes, a petting zoo and much more, along with the wonderful spring produce now in season.

8-9 November: Parnell Festival of Roses

Where: Multiple locations inluding at the Jubilee Building, 545 Parnell Road, Parnell
When: November 8, 2008 from 8am to 12 noon

What: Each year The Parnell Festival of Roses weekend, an Auckland City Council-organised event, attracts more than 15,000 people to Parnell. Parnell Trust organises activtities at the Parnell Community Centre (the Jubilee Building) as part of the weekend activities throughout Parnell.

Start your Parnell day at the Parnell Farmers Market (open from 8am to 12 noon) before catching the free bus to other festival attractions: Parnell Road Market Day (10am to 4pm at the Parnell Road shops) and Parnell Rose Gardens (from 12 noon to 6pm).
