Education Review Office Report 2015
Gladstone Park Early Childhood Centre was reviewed by the ERO in November 2015. The report, dated May 2016, is now available here.
Parnell Trust is pleased to report that the changes made at the Centre since the last review, in 2013, have resulted in a very positive review from the ERO.
As always, our aim is to go beyond ERO expectations to provide your children with the highest quality care. Our team of staff is experienced and competent in identifying and supporting your child’s emerging interests and planning to extend their knowledge.
Gladstone Park Early Childhood Centre has now won the Heart Foundation’s Pa-Harakeke Gold Standard Healthy Heart award twice. Children at the Centre are given heart-healthy meals and snacks, prepared every day from the freshest ingredients by Chef Fern at Parnell Early Childhood Centre’s kitchen. Children help raise vegetables and herbs in planters at the Centre and our Worm Farm and Bokashi Bins provides valuable lessons in sustainability.
Our transition to school programme sees four to five year-olds have an hour a day, Monday to Thursday, in a class-like setting, away from other children. We prepare them for a gentle start to primary school, by providing them with an opportunity to extend their numeracy and literacy skills in addition to extending their concentration through project work.
Congratulations to the staff team at Gladstone Park Early Childhood Centre and our thanks to all our parents for their support and encouragement of our progress towards our 2015 ERO report.
Please contact us if you have any questions regarding the ERO report and our Centre.
