Parnell Trust is excited to add three new activities to this year’s Auckland Heritage Festival, thanks to
funding from the Waitemata Local Board. In association with the Blind Foundation, The Jubilee Building, Then and Now in the first week of the Festival includes:
- A talk by Mary Schnackenberg. One of the New Zealand blind community's true luminaries, Mary shares her memories of the Jubilee Building and others in the Blind Foundation Precinct. (Monday 26 Sept, 7-9pm in the Jubilee Hall - free, but booking required);
- A week-long exhibition of the Blind Foundation's history in the building; and
- A scavenger hunt for children, in association with Parnell Library, to decipher clues and find their way around the building and its surrounds.
